The Museum & Industries Association’s aim is the study, analysis, promotion and development of activities connected with products derived from artistic, cultural and educational heritage as well as the commercial activities of institutions or artistic, cultural and educational enterprises.

It was created in 1996 after the first edition of the trade show Museum Expressions, to assist managers in the culture and industry fields, by offering them a permanent structure, apart from the trade show, which is the yearly meeting point of all professionals.

The Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau was created in 1971 at the joint initiative of the Paris City Council and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry*. It carries out two specific missions:

Welcome and informing visitors
Fans of the capital, six tourist offices welcome you all year round. An expert multilingual team will provide information on everything that you have ever wanted to know about Paris and the Paris region. From April to November, you can also get information from the “Welcome Ambassadors” kiosks, staffed by young seasonal workers.

Promoting the destination in France and abroad
The Bureau actively promotes Paris as a destination for leisure and business tourism to tour operators and the media. It organizes promotional campaigns, which highlight such different aspects of Paris as: Paris, the capital of shopping (« Soldes by Paris », in January), Paris, the capital of romance (« Romantic Paris », in February) and even Paris, the capital of hospitality (Tourism Week, each summer). As well as providing solid support for the organization of company events, the Bureau also actively champions bids by the capital to host national and international congresses.
